Title: Kotick Confirms DJ Hero Sequel
Posted: Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 2:58 am
DJ Hero had a lukewarm reception at retail when it was released last year, but it appears that Activision won’t be breaking with tradition and are planning a sequel to the game.
Activision had high hopes for the original DJ Hero, but the game performed disappointingly, selling only 175,000 copies in its first month in the US, and 123,000 units in its second. Despite this, Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick has revealed in an interview with Game Informer that, “We're sticking with it. We'll stick with it and get it right.”
I think DJ Hero is a really innovative product,” said Kotick. “I can't wait for you to see next year's.” (Note: It was unclear whether these comments were made in 2009 or 2010, making it unclear which year DJ Hero 2 will be released in.)

Oh my! I was totally not expecting that! How inconcievable it would be that there might be a music game to come out and not have countless sequels. Rock Band is the only one I forgive because they have The Beatles.
