Capcom confirmed today, via press release, that Dead Rising 2 will release on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in August.
The game will ship August 31st in North America, followed by the Japanese release on September 2nd and the European launch on September 3rd.
The press release also announced that Xbox 360 gamers will have the opportunity to download a prologue episode of sorts via Xbox Live, shortly before the launch of the full game. Titled Dead Rising 2: CASE ZERO, the episode will “introduce main protagonist and former motocross champion Chuck Greene and provide a link between the original game and the events that await players in the gambling paradise of Fortune City.”
