Title: Dragon Age Ships 3 Million, More Content To Come
Posted: Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at 3:36 am

According to EA sales data, BioWare’s dark fantasy RPG Dragon Age: Origins has now shipper over 3 million units.

“This is a tremendous start for the Dragon Age franchise and we are extremely pleased with the great reception the game has already received from critics and fans worldwide,” said Ray Muzyka, co-founder of BioWare and general manager of the RPG/MMO Group of EA. “Our team is dedicated to crafting high quality, engaging new adventures and stories in the world of Ferelden for our fans!”

The game has also received over 30 industry awards (not to mentioned a 9.9/10 review score from me), and the PC version holds a 91 rating on Metacritic, denoting “universal acclaim”.

In addition, a full price expansion pack, Dragon Age: Awakenings, is due in March and EA’s upcoming release schedule, released yesterday as a part of their Q3 financial results, lists an untitled Dragon Age game set for release in Q4 of fiscal 2011 (January-March 2011).

So even to those who’ve already clocked through Origins a few times, there will be no shortage of Dragon Agey goodness in the future (thank God).

That's cool. My brother loves this game. Whenever I look over at his screen, he's either playing this or WoW. I think it's cool that it's succeeding so well. Hopefully they'll be able to do even more cool stuff.
