EA today released an updated list of their planned titles for next fiscal year, and there are a few surprises.

Both BioWare’s Dragon Age and Visceral Games’ Dead Space series’ will be receiving new entries according to the press release, with both “Dragon Age Title TBA” and Dead Space 2 listed in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2011, which starts January 1st, 2011 and ends in March.

Also slated for Q4 are numerous as of yet untitled games, including “Shooter from Epic TBA”, a new Sims title, a new Spore title, and a third Need For Speed title for the fiscal year, with the first, Need For Speed World set for Q1 and the second untitled one set for Q3.

Crysis 2 is slated for Q3 (the holiday period), along with an untitled Harry Potter title and numerous EA Sports titles, which are also featured heavily in Q2. Q2 also features the previously confirmed Medal of Honor franchise reboot, which is as of yet untitled.

In related news, one franchise left off the list, Mass Effect, was mentioned by EA COO John Schappert during a conference call. He said that there was “something far-reaching from Mass Effect” due in Winter 2011. It was left unclear exactly what this something is, however it seems likely to be some sort of DLC or expansion for the recently released and acclaimed Mass Effect 2.

I don't know, but I don't think I see any surprises. What would be a surprise is if any of these games actually get released during those time periods.
